Common Questions

Everything you need to know before booking.

Film & Tint Basics

What is the difference between ceramic and carbon tint?+

Carbon film uses carbon particles to block heat and UV — rich matte look, signal-safe. Ceramic uses nano-ceramic particles for superior heat rejection and crystal clarity. Ceramic is the better choice for Southern California heat.

What does VLT percentage mean?+

VLT (Visible Light Transmission) measures how much light passes through. 35% VLT allows 35% of light in — lower = darker. 5% is very dark; 70–80% is nearly clear.

Will tint affect my GPS or cell signal?+

Our carbon and ceramic films contain no metal and are fully signal-compatible — no interference with GPS, cellular, or parking sensors.

California Legal Info

Is window tinting legal in California?+

Front side windows must allow more than 70% light in. The windshield may only have a non-reflective strip along the top 4 inches. Rear windows have no VLT restriction. We advise on compliance before every install.

What about medical exemptions?+

California allows medical exemptions for certain conditions. We can install per your documentation — consult a physician and review the California Vehicle Code.

Installation & Aftercare

How long does installation take?+

Most installs are 1.5–4 hours depending on vehicle size and panel count. A standard sedan is typically done in under 2 hours.

How do I care for my tint after install?+

Avoid rolling down windows or washing them for 3–7 days while the adhesive cures. Light haziness or small bubbles during this period are normal and will clear up.

What if bubbles persist?+

Bubbles should disappear within 2 weeks. If they don't, contact us — all installs are covered by our workmanship guarantee.

Booking & Pricing

How does booking work?+

Fill out our simple booking form — name, email or phone, service type. We confirm within 1 hour and schedule your drop-off. No deposit required to request.

Is the online price estimate final?+

Estimates are a starting point. Final price is confirmed after our tech inspects your vehicle. We'll notify you before beginning any work.

Do you offer tint removal?+

Yes — $75 per vehicle. Safe, scratch-free removal that protects your defroster grid and seals.
